College, Social Life, & Adulting, Oh My!

It's impossible to look hot in college, well, at least it is for me. Senior year of high School taught me how to get ready in 15 minutes, and it is fantastic, since I get to sleep in a little bit longer. Although, what high school never taught me was how to freaking adult! Shout out to my high school, thanks for not teaching me how to cook without burning down the kitchen trying to make pancakes, change a tire, balance my check book, and do laundry without setting my clothes on fire. Thanks.

You know what I see a little too often? I see soccer moms in my town, at Costco on a Saturday morning, wearing a shirt with the saying, "I can't adult today". Okay, first of all, Susan, you probably have your sh*t together more than I do. You have a nice suburban house, drive a Ford Explorer, you are way more fit and eat healthier than I do, and you have 3 kids. All I have is stress, student debt, and a talent of eating 32 chicken nuggets in one sitting. Second of all, Susan, if you got that shirt at Forever 21, you probably over-paid, just go to Target, same shirt, better price and quality. I speak from self experience.

Now, What I have now realized that it is VERY difficult to balance college, work, a social life, personal relationships, and taking care of your own well being all at once. Who ever told me "Being a college student is the best time of your life" is dead wrong. I like college because NOBODY cares how you spend your time. Also, people are way mature. People are way more focused, and that, I enjoy.

I practically have 24 credits this semester, I work part time, I own a business, I have a handsome boyfriend, I am majoring in FOUR fields, I am always studying or sleeping, I do not have the time to socialize. All though, I just joined Student Council, oh my, I have no time to do another club. It's awesome but so stressful, which is always my life, awesome and really cool, but the whole time you are on fire. I do not remember the last time I was not stressed. It definitely is not becoming easier anytime soon.

If you know me personally, I do not make friends easily. I can not socialize one on one, but I can talk in front of a crowd filled with thousands without fear. Although, a lot of people want to be friends with me; I'm not going to lie, IT IS VERY WEIRD. Especially since in high school, not many people wanted to be friends with me. Although, now that I am in college, a lot of cool adults want to be friends with a freaked out-stress-chicken nugget eating-young adult, like myself. And that, is pretty rad.
